Thai Food in Hell's Kitchen
Ninth Avenue is Manhattan's great restaurant row. Here is how to find us, and how to make an evening of it.
On Manhattan's Great Restaurant Avenue
Hell's Kitchen, also called Clinton, runs along the west side of Midtown Manhattan from roughly West 34th to West 59th Street, between Eighth Avenue and the Hudson River.
Once a gritty neighborhood of tenements and docks, it is today one of the city's liveliest dining districts. Ninth Avenue in particular is lined with restaurants from every corner of the world, and it has long been known as one of the best streets in Manhattan for Thai food.
Elephant Ear Thai Eatery sits at 690 Ninth Avenue, on the west side of the avenue between West 47th and West 48th Street (ZIP 10036), in the middle of it all: one block from the Theater District and a short walk from Times Square.
